Marriage Notice 1907

JONES-ATTLE

A correspondent writes:-The Rev. R. J. Craggs officiated in St. George's Cathedral on Thursday of last week at the marriage of Miss Adelaide Georgina Attle, eldest daughter of the late Mr. George Attle, S.A., and Stoke Newington (England), and Mr. Robert Hooke Jones, Stoke Newington, England. The bride was given away by Mr. William Docwra, and Mr. Lou. Vincent acted as best man. The bridal gown, of cream silk voile over glace, was adorned with Maltese lace; true-lovers knots were embroidered on the tuile veil, which was worn under a spray of orange blossom, another spray resting on the corsage, and a lovely pearl brooch (gift of the bridegroom) was also worn. A bouquet of white carnations, rosebuds, and asparagus fern, looped with chiffon streamers, was carried. Miss Florence Attle, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a dainty frock of white mousseline-de-soie, softened with Valenciennes lace, and a Watteau hat of erinoline straw, with soft silk trimmings; a bouquet of red roses, carnations, and asparagus fern, with soft ribbons, completed the toilette. The bridegroom's present to the bridesmaid was a turquoise brooch. Little Ethel Attle made a charming attendant, in her frock of soft white India muslin and hat of muslin and lace. The bride, who had been very popular in the Perth Telephone Exchange, and was the recipient of all the latest kitchen utensils from her girl associates, who combined to tender their gift at a "tin tea," and the gentlemen gave a very handsome silver cruet stand, suitably inscribed. The reception and tea were enjoyed in Melba Chambers, where the usual toasts were honoured.
